Charles Barkley Steals the Show with Jokes and Friendly Banter

Charles Barkley won over viewers of TNT's NBA coverage with his jokes and friendly banter. He also cautioned Stephen A. Smith not to talk as loudly on his show as he did when he hosted First Take.

Charles Barkley stole the show during TNT's NBA coverage of the Indiana Pacers' victory over the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA's in-season championship game on Thursday. Barkley's jokes and friendly banter with the "NBA Today" crew and Stephen A. Smith were a highlight of the broadcast.

Before the game started, Barkley joked that Stephen A. Smith got to work with Molly Qerim and Malika Andrews while he had to look at Ernie Johnson's head. After the Pacers' win, Barkley interrupted ESPN to give their staff his own "Woj bomb."

"Barkley said, 'You know, I'm talking to Woj.'" Woj said Halliburton was playing so well that James Harden wanted to be traded to Indiana."

His jokes earned laughs from both sides and the audience. He also made other jokes with other analysts on the show.

Barkley also had some fun in his interaction with Stephen A. Smith, who warned the ESPN analyst not to use the show as a "First Take."

"Barkley said, 'Let me tell you something, Stephen A. Barkley said, "If you run in here and talk out loud. It's not First Take, "If you run in here and talk loud," "it's going to be the first time you get punched in the face."

Charles Barkley and Stephen A. Smith have a long history of friendly banter, and they always bring the fireworks on the same show.

Shaquille O'Neal also had some advice for Zion Williamson before the New Orleans Pelicans took on the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals of the NBA season.

O'Neal would like to see Williamson dominate the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.

"If I'm Zion Williamson, I'm the biggest body on the floor. This is the night I dominate," Shaq said." This is the night I show up. I know the King is in the building, but the King has to go too."

The winner between the Lakers and Pelicans will play the Pacers in the final.
